Slowly, the grenadiers are taking form- it just occurred to me that the final painting will depict the fish pretty close to life size- and I am feeling pleased about it. Abyssal grenadiers, Coryphaenoides armatus, photo taken Dec 2024 in Antarctica,

One of the pieces hanging at the @thechasegallery right now is my latest painting- titled “The People Pleaser”, a 30x40” acrylic on canvas. This was a fast paint- 8 days - and the composition uses holothurian mouth parts intersectin
